Great review at Sun Burns Out. [...] À Une Avalanche playing the role of a manifesto, best expressing who Paul Félix is today: a musician who has been out of ears for too long, yet manages from the very first notes to make himself as compelling as ever, thanks to his sense of earthy melody, constantly underscored by an essential folk guitar and silky arrangements; a singer whose timbre, still as distinctive as ever, has nonetheless shed, undoubtedly with age, the affected, almost caricatured trappings that could sometimes be irritating. The perfect single, Se Pourrait-il? (Could It Be?), followed by Perdu Dans Tes Yeux (Lost in Your Eyes), sets the tone for the album: it deals extensively with love. Thwarted and ended for the former, a blessing in disguise, a true catalyst for the desire to write again; blissful and full of promise for two for the latter. [...]
