USA!

28th September 2026

At the label’s office and headquarters of the Parisian duo, excitement is in the air…

Chicago’s iconic label, Minty Fresh, fell in love with Discover’s new album. Without hesitation, the boss picked up the phone—completely ignoring the 7-hour time difference—to offer his collaboration, support and expertise to champion "Seventeen States" in the United States.

How could we refuse such a joint venture?

The promo material is already crossing the Atlantic as we write this post!

It's absolutely brilliant

21st September 2026

Thank you to Persona for being the first to review the upcoming album from Discover, set for release on October 16th on vinyl and streaming platforms. [...] The record kicks off at full tilt with the gleaming "Someone"—an irresistible lead single—before continuing in fine style with "Lost Number," elevated by the trumpet work of Julien Alour and the trombone of Jerry Edwards (both of whom previously shone on Boris Maurussane’s *Tears Of English Town*).

Solar melodies

4th October 2025

Review of California Suite at Ondarock, the excellent transalpine webzine. [...] Nova Cane's dreamy, sensually icy voice offers bittersweet nuances, moving fearlessly from the gentle surf pop of "Maryland" to the folk soul of "Loveless" – yes, that iconic New Order track, revisited here with a melancholy that leaves a lasting impression. The singer is just as convincing in creating the catchy yacht-rock sounds of "Lonesome In The Sun" and "Back To California" and in showcasing American iconography in the swing of "My Vintage Car". [...]

The perfect album to lengthen the summer

30th August 2025

Thank you BuzzOnWeb ! [...] Discover, behind this band name hides one of the most incredible personalities in french pop: Olivier Albert Brion! A discreet and, above all, extremely talented character, Olivier has been releasing records for over thirty years, first with Dorian Gray, then with the Yachines and finally today, and for over 20 years, with Discover. With a sharp sense of melody and a real talent for arrangements, each of his releases is a true artistic success.

Smoothly melodic songs

9th August 2025

Review of the album across the Channel in the very pop magazine Shindig! [...] There is, in truth, not always much to separate one song from another, but as the album’s title suggests it has the feel of a single movement evoking the culture and landscape of the American West Coast. [...]

Summer will be mild

6th July 2025

Sunny chronicle of California Suite at ADA Webzine. [...] Goldsmith and melodist, he offers you a journey on Californian roads in his Vintage Car, in search of the Sunbirds for a dazzling return to California, in a harmony as refreshing as it is intoxicating, without malice, with talent and depth. You then touch the ultimate pleasure of acceptance of heat by softness, assuming the counter-current by letting yourself be carried away by a vintage atmosphere, of course, but timeless. [...]

Suite in Sun major

1st July 2025

Review/Interview about the album California Suite at Persona. [...] Arrangements, songwriting, production, artwork - California Suite is a true success, full of little gems sprinkled with papapapas and delicately edged with melancholy - like the two singles Lonesome In The Sun and My Vintage Car released as a precursor. Let's hope we don't have to wait another twenty years to discover the sequel. [...]

A welcoming record

17th June 2025

Review of the album California Suite at Buzz Slayers USA. [...] The album is called California Suite and it wastes very little time delivering some of that golden and colorful pop approach with its first track, "Number On My Wall". The song features pop-riddled guitar tones and approaches along with the artist's signature vocal approach which really leans more towards this sort of floaty and dreamy tonality and works amazingly with the music backing it up.
