Hugo, was raised to the sound of British pop of the 80s, aerial guitars and drum machines, lover of The Beach Boys solar harmonies and The Byrds. He was invited to the Belgian and French radios with his single "La Nacelle", playful song and Lynchian text, sweet and tragic, combining Tamla Motown's rhythmic to Prefab Sprout's melodies in the same spirit. Follower of a musical ultra melodic aesthetic, passionate about literature and poetry (Michel Houellebecq, Ray Bradbury, John Steinbeck), Hugo plays pop and sings in French. Lyrically, Hugo tells about strange stories and mysterious little movies, blurring the lines between autobiographical flashes and supernatural visions. After three very melodic albums, "La Formule" (Crammed Discs / Columbia), "La Nuit des Balançoires" (Crammed Discs / Wagram), "L'Homme du Soir" (Hot Puma / Cod@s) and live out loud, as many moving cavalcades, Hugo is back with his new album Avalanche !
